This 194-page guidebook by James McGinnis and Mary Joan and Jerry Park offers practical helps for families to do a better job of peacemaking at home, deal with consumerism, celebrate diversity, and care for the earth, with several family rituals from both Christian and Jewish traditions.  Several workshop models are designed especially for Hispanic and African American families.  Part II offers a six session program in family peacemaking developed by Mary Joan and Jerry Park.  Not only a valuable resource for individual families, it is also helpful to family support groups, Bible study or social action groups, family camp directors and directors of religious education.
