Prayer & Action for Peace in Haiti

Inspired by Praying For Peace Around The Globe

We continue to pray and act for peace around the globe this week, in solidarity especially with those people in Haiti who are suffering not only from the devastating destruction of the recent earthquake, but from much deeper issues of hunger and poverty.

Prayer for Haiti
Dear Lord, Help us as we struggle to see your face today in Haiti. Help us to realize that everything created by you is indeed holy, and that we are all members of one another bound by your love. Give us the power and courage to bring your love to the ceaseless conflicts that exist all around us in Haiti. Remind us that what may seem overwhelming and too much to handle, can be handled if we let you work through us and put our fears, ambitions, desires and thoughts in your hands. Amen.

1. Consider giving to Meds and Food For Kids, a Saint Louis organization. It provides medicine and food for children in Haiti, by not only using highly nutritious foods, but produces these products in Haiti providing jobs to Haitians. http://mfkhaiti.org/
